Harp Duo Rocks Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters”

Contrapuntist and I always enjoy learning about artists who walk the line between classical and rock music. One of Contrapuntist’s Google+ buddies (you know who you are!) shared a video with us by the unique Harp Twins duo of Camille and Kennerly Kitt. The identical twins perform internationally as an acoustic and electric harp duo. They’ve posted 28 videos on YouTube to date covering songs such as the Game of Thrones Theme, “The Hobbit-Misty Mountains Cold”, AC/DC’s “Highway to Hell”, and Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance”. Below, you’ll find the Harp Twins’ most recent offering, Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters”. I’m also including U2’s “With or without You”, which I think is their nicest cover tune.

  1. Both of these arrangements/videos are amazing. The twin effect is priceless, and they have genuine talent, but even though I’m a big fan of high heels, I was brutally blown away by their Metallica video. They look absolutely sizzling hot in those outfits, plus their faces are just so beautiful, and the shining long blonde hair in the sunlight… Awesome discovery. 28 videos? I’ll be here all night if they are anywhere nearly as good as these! Twins! Can’t believe it!!!

    • Hey there, thanks for stopping by. The twins are definitely a double threat… beautiful and talented. I haven’t watched all of their other videos, but most of them are pretty good. The only one I really didn’t care for was AC/DC’s “Highway to Hell”. Somehow, that piece just isn’t as hard-core when played on the harp. Anyway, hope you enjoy the rest of their videos!
