According to Bravewords.com, the Chicago area dark metal band Novembers Doom has begun to record their eighth full-length studio album. Aphotic is currently being recorded at Belle City Sound in Racine, Wisconsin and will be released in spring 2011 on The End Records. According to frontman and lead singer Paul Kuhr:
We plan to capture something new from the band. This recording builds upon the foundations the band has laid over the years, but we are taking it into a new direction. We plan to redefine where we stand in our current genre. The darkness is coming, and we can’t wait until you’re able to hear it.
Check out the band’s official YouTube channel for video updates and musical clips as they record their new album.
Contrapuntist and I were lucky enough to hear Novembers Doom for the first time back in September when they recently opened for Katatonia during the New Night over North America 2010 tour. To read our review, please click here.
