Mosh Potatoes: A Rockin’ Cookbook by Heavy Metal Legends

Start your burners and get ready to cook the metal way.  That’s right, longtime rocker Steve “Buckshot” Seabury brings you Mosh Potatoes – Recipes, Anecdotes And Mayhem From The Heavyweights Of Heavy Metal.  Four years in the making, this book is set to be released on November 16, 2010.

In an interview with Loudtrax, Seabury says:

I probably received almost 300 recipes. Simon & Schuster said they wanted me to narrow it down to 150 recipes. I have guys like Zakk Wylde, Lita Ford, Rex from Pantera, Mark from Lamb Of God, the guys in Type O Negative, Guns N’ Roses, Anthrax, Megadeth, Overkill, Testament, Queensrÿche, Bison B.C., Steel Panther, Mudvayne, Life of Agony, Dream Theater and the list just keeps going and going and going. It’s a bad-ass book with kick-ass recipes and the great stories behind their recipes.

Some of the bands didn’t want to do it because they didn’t think it was their fans would like it. Cooking isn’t metal enough, I guess. Most of the bands loved it.

I’m bummed that I didn’t think about this idea before, but let’s be thankful that Seabury was persistent enough to get through this.  Considering the eating season is just around the corner, perhaps we should start a movement and feast the metal way.  But a word of caution, Seabury mentioned the recipe by Lemmy (from Motörhead) looks rather scary: “His recipe is out of control. I am scared to death to even try to cook it.”
